The
town of Gettysburg, about 80 miles north of Washington, DC, is easy to get to because at least six major roads converge in the town (which is one of the reasons it was such a convenient spot for a three-day battle). The directions below are approximate, and should be considered starting points for your planning. Once you reach the town, you'll see lots of signs directing you to the park. Please note that "north" and "south" are used in their geographic sense, and should not imply political or rooting interests.
